Freelance travel journalist
I have been writing about travel, food and drink for more than a dozen years.
My editorial experience is diverse and far-reaching; I was an editor at The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, and currently work as Travel Editor at Woman & Home. I was named AITO Travel Writer of the Year in 2022, and achieved Gold and Highly Commended medals in other competitions in 2023. In total I have been shortlisted for more than a dozen different writing and editing awards.
My work has taken me to more than 60 countries. I have helicoptered across glaciers in the Yukon; sipped matcha with tea masters in Kyoto; met alpacas at Machu Picchu; rode the Ghan across Australia's Outback; and slept in seaside villas, safari camps and some of the world's finest hotels. My words on travel have appeared in the likes of The Times, Evening Standard, National Geographic Traveller, Condé Nast Traveller, The Independent, Decanter, Radio Times and High Life.
